PEARLAND — Dawson bounced back from a loss to Manvel to get a hard-fought 48-38 win over Pasadena Dobie.
The Eagles (18-5, 5-1) led 18-10 after the first quarter before opening a 29-17 halftime lead. The Longhorns cut the lead to 36-33 entering the fourth before Dawson took control to close out the final period 12-5 for the 10-point margin of victory.
Randy Dobbs and C.J. Simmons led Dawson with 11 points each while Jordan Lewis finished with 10.
Dawson 54 - Pasadena 35
Dawson improved to 6-1 in league games and 19-5 overall as Jordan Lewis scored 23 points and Paul Taulton finished with 14.
The Eagles outscored Pasadena 14-3 in the second quarter for a 30-18 halftime edge. Pasadena was a little more competitive in the third period Dawson taking the period 12-10. Dawson limited Pasadena to just five fourth-quarter points for the 54-35 win.
