Haileab places 9th at UIL 6A state cross country meet


DAWSON — Dawson senior Noah Haileab ran his fastest time ever at the UIL 6A state cross country meet which gave him a 9th place finish.

Haileab's time of 15:18 was his fastest time ever at state and the second fastest he has ever recorded in his illustrious high school career at Dawson.

He has placed in the top 10 for the last two straight years at the state meet.

If you combine all six classes at the state meet, Haileab finished 14th out of over 1,000 runners at the meet.

Haileab hold the record at Dawson High School and is the most decorated runner the Eagles have ever had. The outstanding student-athlete is also the president of the senior class.
