The Mustangs added one more run in the top of the sixth to give them a 4-2 cushion entering the final frame.

Nick Dehoyos was 1-for-1 at the plate including two walks and a double with three runs scored.

Friendswood 11 - Dickinson 1

Friendswood got an 11-1 win thanks in large part to Lael Lockhart's dominant, 10-strikeout performance over the Gators. Lockhart allowed one earned run on five hits and two walks over six innings.

Meanwhile, the Mustangs pounded out seven hits for 11 runs to rout the Gators in the district win.

Friendswood scored four runs in the bottom of the second inning, three more in the fourth, one in the fifth, and then closed out the game with three in the sixth.

Lockhart and Jacob Revere both blasted home runs as part of the offensive firepower.
