Friendswood stampedes past Pasadena 77-0

The Friendswood Mustangs ran roughshod over the Pasadena Eagles 77-0 to get their first District 11-5A Div I win of the season (1-3) to improve to 3-4 overall while Pasadena falls to 1-6 and 0-4 in league action.

With three district games remaining for the 'Stangs -- their goal is to win out to finish 6-4 and to advance to the post-season. The rest of the district schedule looks positive in their favor.

Friendswood scored on the game’s first play from scrimmage with a 56-yard Josh Brister-to-Jensen Hackney aerial and the Mustangs never looked back.

The 77 points Friendswood scored were the most ever in a shutout victory.

Friendswood dominated Pasadena on both sides of the ball, totaling 512 yards of total offense while limiting the Eagles to 50 yards.

Brister would throw three touchdown passes in the first half including a 55-yarder to A.J. Parker and a 27-yard toss to Gianni Gerami. The field general also scored on a 9-yard keeper.

Sophomore Peyton Lowe took over in the second half. He completed 4-of-6 passes for 60 yards, including an 11-yard touchdown connection with Enzo Pasqualli. Lowe also scored on a 4-yard keeper.

On the ground, the Mustangs were led by junior RB Tripp Bateman who rushed for 65 yards on eight carries for three scores with runs of 11, 20, and 1-yard.

Sophomore RB Charlie Moore rushed for 60 first-half yards and also scored on a 3-yard run.
