No. 3 Friendswood continues unbeaten season

Friendswood used two pitchers who didn't allow a single hit as the Mustangs defeated Goose Creek Memorial 12-0.

Jaxson Burch was the winning pitcher for Friendswood as the southpaw went five and a third innings, allowing no runs, no hits while striking out six. Griffin Kasemeyer threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

The Mustangs scored three runs in the second, one in the third, three is the fifth and put the nail in the coffin with six runs in the sixth to put the game away at 12-0.

Friendswood tallied ten hits in the game. Michael Wright, Caden Montemayor, Dylan Maxcey, and Kevin Newkirk all had multiple hits for the offense. Newkirk, Maxcey, Montemayor, and Wright each collected two hits to lead the offense.

The Mustangs were sure-handed on defense and didn't commit a single error.

Friendswood 10 - Ball High 0

Jacob Rogers didn't allow a single run as Friendswood defeated Ball High 10-0. Rogers allowed just two harmless hits to the Tors.

Friendswood took a quick 1-0 lead in the first inning, when Isaac Pacheco hit a solo home run.

The Mustangs secured the victory thanks to seven runs in the fifth inning. Izaac Pacheco, Dylan Maxcey, Boots Landry, Devon Andrews, and Reed South powered the big inning with RBIs.

Rogers earned the victory on the mound for Friendswood as the righthander surrendered no runs on two hits over five innings, striking out nine and walking one.

Friendswood scored 10 runs on 10 hits to remain perfect on the season.
