Manvel routs Northside 69-0

MANVEL — Ladarius Owens scored three times on runs of 7, 5, and 16 yards to lead Manvel past Houston Northside in a 69-0 district rout.

The score actually could have been whatever the Mavs had wanted as they built a 56-0 advantage at halftime.

Joining in the first half scoring parade was quarterback Josh Coltrin who threw four touchdown passes to Jalen Paxton covering 21 yards; Eric Hebert covering 10 and 12 yards; and a final scoring strike to Tucker Yarbrough for 12-yards.

Garrison Johnson scored the game's second touchdown on a 16-yard scamper.

The Mavs scored twice in the second half as Jalen Walthall scored on a 42-yard dash in the third quarter and Yarbrough added a 4-yard fourth quarter run to post the 69-0 final score.

Manvel is now 3-2 on the season and will host Houston Madison on Friday, October 5 at 7:00 p.m. at Freedom Field.
