Friendswood Lady Mustangs

The Dickinson Lady Gators (1-6 District 24-6A) picked up their first district win by nipping the Friendswood Lady Mustangs (4-3) by the score of 48-47.

Dickinson was led by Jasmine Spriggins with 12 points and Jere’ Mallet with nine points. 

Friendswood led 24-19 at half, but Dickinson used a 16-10 closing fourth period to get the 48-47 win.

This is the third straight loss for the Lady Mustangs after beginning league action at 4-0.

Kayla Callaway led the Friendswood with 14 points while Alex Frankhouser added 12.


Clear Creek 49 - Friendswood 36

Clear Creek took an early 12-5 lead after the first quarter to claim a 49-36 win over the Friendswood Lady Mustangs.

The Lady Wildcats stretched the lead to 27-15 at intermission thanks to a 15-10 second quarter.

Both teams had trouble on offense in the third period with Friendswood edging the Lady 'Cats 7-6, but Creek won the final frame as both teams had their best offense surge 16-14.

Alex Frankhouser top the Friendswood players with 11 points.


Dawson Lady Eagles

The Dawson Lady Eagles rolled to an impressive 53-31 win over South Houston.

Dawson held a 29-11 halftime lead and took a 39-22 lead into the fourth quarter.

The Lady Eagles are 7-2 in district and have a solid third place in the league standings.

Jada Rogers led Dawson with 15 points and Maddie Powers scored 10.
