For the fourth straight year, the Pearland Lady Oilers (25-6, 16-0) have captured the district title and are set to continue their season in the Class 6A Region III playoffs.

Pearland's opening opponent will be the Fort Bend Travis Lady Tigers who finished second in District 23-6A with a 12-7-1 overall record. The two teams will play on Friday, April 25 at 6:30 p.m. at the Deer Park Softball Complex with the winner advancing to the area round.

The game was cut short after three innings as the Lady Oilers scored 15 runs on nine hits to close out league action with a 16-0 district record.

The Lady Trojans were held scoreless and hitless over the three innings.

Leading hitters for Pearland were Olivia Cruz who was 1-for-1 with a three-run homer to centerfield and Zoie Oregbesan who was 2-for-2 including two runs scored and a pair of RBIs.
