Former Pearland AD Mike Watson passes away

PEARLAND — It is with great sorrow to learn that former Pearland ISD athletic director "Coach" Michael Howard Watson, 55, died on Thursday, May 6.
Memorial service will be 7:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 10, 2010, at the Pearland Jr. High South facility at 4717 Bailey Rd. in Pearland, Texas. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. for visitation with family and friends. Graveside service will be Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at noon in Rusk, Texas at Cedar Hill Cemetery, located at the corner of Main St. and FM 343.
Mike is survived by his wife of 33 years, Patsy Maraffa Watson; daughter, Meredith Watson, currently residing in Hong Kong, China; daughter, Brooke Watson Massey, son-in-law, Kyle Massey, and newborn grandson Jaxon, all of Dickinson, Texas; parents, Hank & Jimmye Watson of Rusk, Texas; brother, Rick Watson of Houston and his wife, Pam, and brother, Tony Annis of San Antonio and his wife, Dulce. Preceded in death by beloved grandparents, Loarn and Ocie Simmons of Rusk, Texas.
Flowers may be delivered to memorial service location after 5:00 p.m. Monday or to graveside service on Tuesday.
