The Friendswood Lady Mustangs got a tough test from Goose Creek Memorial, but were able to come away with the 25-19, 25-21, 25-23 sweep at home.

The Lady Mustangs were led by Alessandra Mean (16 kills, nine digs), Ashlyn Svoboda (11 kills, 14 digs), Sarah Sitton (nine kills) and Tori Weatherley (43 assists).

Friendswood will kickoff the second half of district action with a perfect 7-0 mark.

Pearland 3 - George Ranch 2

The Pearland Lady Oilers defeated the defending 23-6A champions George Ranch Lady Longhorns in five sets 25-15, 25-21, 17-25, 23-25, 15-12.

Jackie Arrington led the offense with 17 kills while receiving strong support from Reese Cummings with 13 kills and Kaylie Kovach who added 12 kills.

Jenna Gray had 26 assists and four aces while Reagan DeBorde had 17 assists.

Chloe Jordan had 25 digs while Emily Smajstrla had 14 digs and Shelby Love added 13 digs.

Pearland 3 - Brazoswood 0

The Pearland Lady Oilers swept the Brazoswood Lady Bucs 25-19, 25-14, 25-18.

Jackie Arrington led the team with 14 kills while Reese Cummings added 8 kills and Kaylie Kovach added 6 kills.

Jenna Gray had 18 assists and four aces while Reagan DeBorde added 11 assists.

Chloe Jordan had 11 digs.

Dawson 3 - Alief Taylor 0

The No. 7 state-ranked Dawson Lady Eagles continued their undefeated season in district with a 3-0 sweep over Alief Taylor 25-4, 25-21, 25-4 to improve their season mark to 31-4 and 4-0 in league play.

Nicole Deslatte led the offense with 16 kills while Aliyah McDonald added nine kills.

Kamryn Scroggins and Dahlia Miller each had 11 digs while Scroggins had 33 assists.

Dawson 3 - Alief Hastings 0

The Dawson Lady Eagles swept Alief Hastings 3-0 by the score of 25-3, 25-7, 25-14.

The win by Dawson was a balanced effort by many of the players as they had 28 kills by a multiple number of player while also getting 15 team aces, 21 team digs, and 28 team assists.

Dawson remains atop the district leaderboard.

Dawson swept the Alief Elsik Lady Rams 25-8, 25-11, 25-11 to improve to 6-0 in district and 33-4 overall.
