AREA GIRLS BASKETBALL REPORT


Dawson Lady Eagles

The Dawson girls remained unbeaten in District 22-6A play with a 53-23 win over Pasadena High.

Dawson led 15-3 after one quarter and 31-8 at halftime. Maddie Powers scored 12 points to lead the Lady Eagles while Katherine Darden scored 11.

Dawson completed the first half of league play with an 8-0 record.



 

 

 

 

Pearland Lady Oilers

Pearland improved to 6-2 in 22-6A with a 50-25 victory against Pasadena Memorial.

The Lady Oilers led 11-2 after the first quarter, 21-6 at halftime, and 33-9 through three quarters.

Ravae Payne led Pearland with 12 points.


Pearland defeats Pasadena Rayburn

Pearland jumped to a 22-7 first-quarter lead and then rolled to a 63-30 win over Pasadena Rayburn Tuesday in District 22-6A action.

The Lady Oilers (5-2 in district) led 42-11 at halftime and 52-21 entering the fourth quarter.

Ravae Payne scored 23 points to lead Pearland, which is in third place in district behind unbeaten Dawson and once-beaten Manvel.


Friendswood Lady Mustangs

Friendswood used a 13-3 first-quarter lead to roll past Brazoswood 56-34 in a District 24-6A matchup.

The Lady Mustangs led 29-15 at halftime and 38-25 entering the fourth quarter.

The Lady Mustangs were led by Kayla Callaway with 15 points and Hannah Bruce with 12.
