Pearland HS is nation’s top cancer fundraiser

PEARLAND — Pearland head softball coach Laneigh Clark received word that the Lady Oilers were named the top high school fundraiser in the fight against Cancer.

The National Fastpitch Coaches Association is pleased to announce that Pearland High School is the top high school fundraiser in the nation for the NFCA’s and American Cancer Society’s annual StrikeOut Cancer initiative.

The Lady O's raised $3,000 last year in their Haynie Strike Out Cancer Softball Tournament and the veteran coach is looking to raise at least that amount or more when the tournament is played on February 25-26-27, 2016. Games will be played at Dawson High School and Pearland High School with some of the top teams in the area competing.
