Pearland's Devan Brown named to All-Greater Houston basketball team

It is quite an honor for Pearland's Devan Brown to be named among some of the outstanding basketball talent in the Houston area. Brown was recently named to the Chronicle's All-Greater Houston second team.

This season, Brown was named as the District 22-6A Most Valuable Player as he led the Oilers to capture the District 22-6A title with an 15-1 record and 30-4 overall.

Brown averaged 17.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game while also joining the 1,500-point club. He was also named to the THCBCA 2nd team All-State Academic Team and the 6A All-Region III team.

During the season, Brown was named the Maroon Tournament MVP and to the Brazosport ISD All-Tourney Team. Joining Brown on the second team:
