PEARLAND — Pearland freshman golfer Kendall Jackson, who was the first Lady Oiler to ever qualify for the girl's state golf tournament, continues her outstanding play as she finished second at the Texas Junior Golf Tournament -- Panther Trails Summer Bash.
Jackson shot the lowest round of the two-day tournament with a 71 on the first day. She shot a 76 on the opening day for a two-day total 147 which was one shot behind winner Sloane Bennett, from Spring, who shot 72-74-146.
The tournament was played at Panther Trail Golf Course at The Woodlands and featured girls in the 15-18 age bracket. Bennett and Jackson were the only two golfers who shot under 150.
