2025 Pearland Homecoming Queen and King

Homecoming Queen Jayla Benefield and King Everett Phifer

The 2025 Homecoming Queen and King of Pearland High School were crowned last Friday night in the game between the Oilers and the Sam Rayburn Texans.

Pearland easily won the game 64-0 to improve to 3-0 for the season and 1-0 in district action.

The Homecoming King was Everett Phifer. He is a Percussionist playing the Marimba for the Pearland Marching Band. He is also President of the HOSA, Secretary of the Science National Honor Society, and the African American Culture Club.

Outside of school, Everett enjoys playing recreational golf and tennis. After graduation, he plans on attending University and Medical school to become an Ophthalmologist.

The Homecoming Queen was Jayla Benefield. Jayla is a PHS varsity track and field athlete, Vice-President of the African American Culture Club, and a member of Student Council and HOSA.

Outside of school, she competes for the AAU Track and Field Club.

After graduation, she plans to attend college to pursue a career in Nursing, as well as continue to be a competitive athlete in track and field.
