Elnokali added another score later and the Oilers came away with a 3-0 victory over the Bears. The win puts the Oilers firmly in the third playoff spot in district with just a few games left in the regular season.

The next big match-up is the "Pearland Derby" with both the boys and girls varsity facing off with the Dawson Eagles on Tuesday, February 28 at Dawson HS starting at 5:30 p.m.

The tense matchup would end with a 2-2 draw and both teams still tied for first place in district going into the stretch run of the regular season.

Next home game for both teams is Saturday, February 25 with Pearland taking on Alvin and Shadow Creek facing Alief Elsik. The "Pearland Derby" featuring the Lady Oilers vs the Dawson Eagles is on Tuesday, February 28 at Dawson HS.
