SHADOW CREEK — It took a little while for Shadow Creek to get started, but once they did, the Sharks were just too much for a hapless Alief Hastings team that is winless on the 2022 football season while Shadow Creek improves to 5-0.

Hastings got on the scoreboard first in the opening quarter for a 7-0 lead, but that's where it would come to an end for the Bears and Shadow Creek shut them down for the rest of the game.

Meanwhile, Shadow Creek tied up the game on an 11-yard scoring run by sophomore quarterback Jacoby Washington to tie up the game 7-7 following the PAT by Aiden Bui.

The Sharks would run of 28 unanswered in the second quarter for a 35-7 lead at intermission.

Watson tossed a 4-yard scoring pass to Dane Jones and threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Garrison Burns. Justin Qualls added a 4-yard scoring run and Watson capped off the first half with a 46-yard scoring strike to Burns. Bui added five PATS after each score.

The Sharks added a score in the third period on a Qualls 45-yard scoring run and a Dane Jones to Ashton Jones touchdown pass covering 20-yards closed out the game's scoring 49-7.

Watson was 12-of-19 passing for 172 yards and three touchdowns.

Qualls had eight carries for 102 yards rushing and two scores. Christian Seriale had five carries for 47 yards and Jacob Washington had six totes for 48 yards.

Dane Jones had three catches for 56 yards and one TD, Ashton Jones had three grabs for 56 yards and one score, and Garrison Burns had two catches for 19 yards and two scores.

Shadow Creek will host Alief Elsik on Friday, October 7 at Freedom Field at 7:00 p.m.
