Shadow Creek routs Alvin 51-0


PEARLAND SHADOW CREEK — There were no surprises in the game between Shadow Creek and Alvin as the Sharks blanked the Yellowjackets 51-0.

The score could have been anything that head coach Brad Butler wanted it to be against the winless Jackets, but he kept it low and allowed all of his players to get in the game.

The Sharks scored twice in the first quarter as QB Kyron Drones threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Lawrence Armstrong. The only thing Creek did wrong was miss the PAT for a 6-0 lead.

Running back Kelvon Brown scored the second touchdown on a 20-yard run. The PAT was good increasing the lead to 13-0.

The Sharks continued their domination as Drones tossed his second touchdown pass to CJ Guidry covering 11-yards for a 20-0 lead.

Isaiah Harper burned the Alvin defense with a 59-yard scoring sprint to increase the lead to 27-0.

Shadow Creek wrapped up the first half scoring when Jaylen Lane stole a pass and returned it 40-yards for a score to give the Sharks a 34-0 cushion at intermission.

Matt Allison put three more points on the board in the third period with a 25-yard field goal to make the score 37-0.

Dylan Campbell added another score in the third quarter with a 59-yard scoring jaunt to make the score 44-0.

The final score came in the fourth frame when Yahir Torres scored on a 2-yard plunge to post the 51-0 final score.

The Sharks finished with 392 total yards with 278 yards rushing and 114. yard through the air.

Drones was 7-for-10 passing for 97 yards and two scores.

Harper had seven carries for 135 yards and one score. Brown had four totes for 55 yards and one TD. Campbell had two carries for 53 yards and one touchdown. Torres had eight carries for 47 yards and one TD.

Armstrong had two catches for 28 yards and one TD. Greg Hancock had two grabs for 28 yards. Guidry had two catches for 21 yards and one score. Kenyan Pascal had two receptions for 29 yards.

The Sharks (2-2, 2-0) travel to Crump Stadium to face Alief Elsik on Friday, November 6 at 7:00 p.m.
