Shadow Creek throttles Alief Elsik 59-0

SHADOW CREEK — The first half for Shadow Creek against Alief Elsik was the Kyron Drones show as the Baylor commit threw five touchdown passes to help the Sharks to a commanding 35-0 halftime lead.

The Sharks went on to score 24 more points in the second half to post the lopsided 59-0 score against a hapless Elsik team that is still searching for their first win for the 2020 season.

Drones tossed two scoring passes in the opening quarter to Greg Hancock covering 22 and 48-yards for a 14-0 lead.

The Drones-Hancock combination hooked up at the 11:02 mark of the second period for a 9-yard scoring pass to increase the lead to 21-0.

The onslaught continued in the second period as Drones threw two more scoring passes as he connected with Lawrence Armstrong on a 22-yard touchdown pass and with C.J. Guidry on a 14-yard strike giving Drones five touchdown passes in the first half and the Sharks a 35-0 lead at intermission.

It was more of the same in the second half as the Sharks scored 17 points in the third quarter and added a final score in the fourth period to post the 59-0 final score.

QB Duke Butler scored on a 12-yard keeper; Matt Allison booted a 38-yard field goal, and Dylan Campbell scored on a 10-yard run while Kasean Felton closed out the scoring in the final frame with a 40-yard interception for a TD.

Drones was 13-of-17 passing for 226 yards and five TDs.

Campbell led the ground attack with 67 yards on seven carries and one score. Brown had six carries for 29 yards. Isaiah Harper had 27 yards on four totes.

Hancock had seven catches for 121 yards and three TDs.

The Sharks will host the Pearland Oilers (6-1) in a District 23-6A showdown at Freedom Field on Friday, November 13 at 7:00 p.m.
