Shadow Creek records second straight season with 10-0 record

MANVEL SHADOW CREEK — Shadow Creek has only been playing varsity football for two years and they are 20-0 during the regular season.

The Sharks advanced to the Class 5A Div. I state finals last season where they fell to Highland Park to finish 15-1. This year -- they are 10-0 entering the playoffs and are 25-1 since they began playing varsity football.

Picked to finish a pre-season No. 2 team in district -- the Sharks did what they did last year and finished No. 1 and undefeated with the momentum entering the post-season.

Shadow Creek put their final stamp on the regular season with a 63-0 beat down of the Terry Rangers who will be staying home in the playoffs.

Foster, who was picked to win the district, will continue their season with a 6-4 record while Friendswood (8-2), and Hightower (6-4) will also continue their season.

The Sharks will host Port Arthur Memorial (5-5) on Friday, November 15 at Freedom Field at 7:00 p.m.

Friendswood will host Kingwood Park (6-4) on Friday, November 15 at Henry Winston Stadium at 7:00 p.m.

Foster (6-4) will travel to play New Caney (10-0) on Friday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Randall Reed Stadium.

Hightower (6-4) will face Porter (8-2) on Saturday, November 16 at 1:00 p.m. at Randall Reed Stadium.

Manvel also finished 10-0 this season to win the Class 5A-11-II district championship. They will host Nederland (6-4) on Thursday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m.
