National Signing Day for Shadow Creek

SHADOW CREEK — The 2018 football season for the Shadow Creek Sharks will be one to remember for many years in their young history.

The Sharks, who are led by head coach Brad Butler, captured the District 10-5A-I and the Class 5A Region III Div. I championships while advancing to the 5A Division I state finals. The Sharks came up short 27-17 in their quest to dethrone three-time defending state champion Highland Park while finishing 15-1 in their first year of varsity competition.

It comes as no surprise that Shadow Creek would have several players coveted by college football teams from around the nation.

Shadow Creek has seven players who made commitments to continue their education and playing careers on National Signing Day. They are: WR Axel Cruz (Texas A&M - Commerce), QB Jamarian George (Tarleton State), WR Kealon Jackson (North Texas), OL Cam'Ron Johnson (UH or Colorado), DB Jevin Murray (North Texas), DB Ronald Nunnery (UH), and DB Kaymen St. Junious (Air Force).

There are three other athletes of other sports who also signed on this historical day for the Sharks.

They are: Ben Greer (Baseball - Baylor), Aniyah Burns (Softball - Texas Southern), and Tyron Henry (Basketball - Hartford).
