Austin Beaty commits to Navy
Friendswood senior running back Austin Beaty signed a letter-of-intent to continue his education and football career for the Naval Academy.
Beaty was named to the All-District first-team for the second straight year. The brutish-style runner was the second-leading ground gainer in the district with 881 yards on 153 carries for six touchdowns in 2007.
Beaty had 467 yards on 95 carries and five scores his junior season giving him a two-year total of 1,348 yards on 248 totes for 11 TDs for a 5.4 yards per carry. |
