WINNING PITCHER

All-State Pearland senior pitcher Nico Partida delivers a strike in the first-round playoff series vs Ford Bend Travis in a 9-0 shutout victory.

Partida would pitch a complete game of 98 pitches with 73 for a strike, giving up just three hits, two walks, and eight strikeouts. He also worked the plate, going 1-for-3 with a walk and scoring two runs.

Partida has committed to play at Texas A&M but has also drawn potential draft interest from several Major League Baseball teams, with scouts coming to watch him play in multiple games this season.
