DISTRICT CHAMPION
Pearland junior Madison Peters won three events at the District 23-6A track meet. Peters won the 3200 meters (11:07.70), 1600 meters, and the 800 meters (2:15.17) to advance to the Class 6A regional track meet.
Shadow Creek girls won district while Strake Jesuit boys won the league title.
Pearland girls finished second and Dawson girls came in third place.
Shadow Creek boys placed second, Dawson placed third, and Pearland finished in fourth place.
