Shadow Creek disposes Alief Taylor 69-39


SHADOW CREEK — The tone was set early by Shadow Creek against Alief Taylor as the Sharks took control of the District 23-6A contest in the first half 36-19 and continued to dominate in the second half for a 69-39 win over the Lions.

Senior guard Camron Amboree led the way hitting six 3-pointers for a game-high 18 points while getting support from freshman guard Chase Garcia who tossed in 12 points.

The Sharks had an extremely strong offensive showing from beyond the arc hitting a total of 20 3-pointers.

Shadow Creek opened up the first quarter with 14 points while holding the Lions to a couple of treys for six points.

The second period was when Amboree caught fire with four 3-points while the rest of the team tossed in three more 3-pointers for 22 points and the 17 point halftime advantage.

Shadow Creek took the third quarter 15-11 as Amboree hit two more shots from long range giving the Sharks a 51-30 edge entering the final stanza.

Freshman Chase Garcia lit up the fourth quarter with four 3-pointers as the Sharks sealed the win with 18 points while holding the Lions to nine points making the final score 69-39.

Others who contributed on offense for the Sharks include Bryce Jackson (9 points), Lucious Jackson (8 points), Johnnie Williams (7 points), and Chase Cain (6 points).
