PEARLAND — The Dawson Lady Eagles hosted cross-town cousin Pearland Lady Oilers and after a close battle for three quarters, Pearland used the fourth quarter to pull out the 47-39 district win.
Pearland had the lead at intermission 27-18, but Dawson climbed back into the game in the third quarter 13-8 to close the gap to 35-31 entering the final eight minutes of the game.
The Lady O's closed out the Lady Eagles 12-8 to post the 47-39 final score.
Dawson senior Sarolyn Charles paced the scoring for the Lady Eagles with 12 points while sophomore Kennedy Ford added nine points.
Pearland is now 8-2 in league action while Dawson falls to 4-4.
