The Pearland softball and baseball teams haven't received much resistance from any of the Alief schools this season and such was the case when the Oilers faced Taylor and Hastings.

The Lady Stangs pounded out 14 hits beginning in the opening stanza as 12 consecutive hitters reached base that resulted in 11 runs scoring for an 11-0 lead.

Getting back on the winning track was important to the Pearland diamondmen and they did so in an 8-3 non-district win over Bellaire Episcopal and a 19-1 win over District 23-6A foe Alief Elsik.
