The high school football season is an exciting time and hopefully you will get out to support your teams this year.

Pearlanders make big impression in two wins

The Fairfield, Conn. vs. Auburn, Wash., game Monday night was postponed until 8 p.m. ET Tuesday night because of rain. Since Pearland is waiting to face the winner of that game, the 2-0 Pearland All-Stars will instead have to wait until 6 p.m. ET Wednesday at Volunteer Stadium for the game that will be televised by ESPN.

Dawson making a case as one of the area's top teams

This past week, head coach Lori McLaughlin saw her girls take on some of the top teams in the Houston area and came home with the Gabby Romero Memorial Varsity Tournament first-place team trophy.

Pearland head coach John Turner has been the mastermind of this great event that is called the Texas pre-season state volleyball tournament as there will be state champions and state contenders vying to win this prestigious NIKE Volleyball Classic Tournament.

Dawson expected to reload in 2010
