Pearland Lady Oilers — The Pearland Lady Oiler swept Cinco Ranch in three games. The scores were 25-16, 25-19; 25-21. The Lady Oiler's were led by Kat Evans & Malorie Pardo with 11 kills each.

The Pearland Lady Oilers were defeated  25-27, 16-25, 23-25 by Katy Seven Lakes. Pearland was led by Malorie Pardo with 13 Kills.

Dawson Lady Eagles — The No. 1 area-ranked Dawson Lady Eagles got a hard-fought win over 5A Deer Park in five games (19-25, 27-25, 20-25, 25-20, 15-12).

The Dawson kill leader was Yewande Akanbi with 22 kills. The Dawson assist leader was Olivia Underwood with 18 assists.

Dawson is now 21-5 overall.

"It was a very intense and exciting game," head coach Lori McLaughlin said. "Deer Park had the best defense. They were extremely aggressive servers. It was a good win against a great team."

Friendswood Lady Mustangs — The Lady Mustangs escaped with a hard-earned road win over Atascocita, 18-25, 25-18, 25-21, 15-25, 15-6. Jasmine Casey (15 kills, 25 digs), Jill Bergeson (15 kills), Shawna Spozio (11 kills), Alex Beaver (38 assists), Katie Goswick (15 digs), and Shannon Ellis (four blocks) all helped the Lady Mustangs. Friendswood is now 16-6 overall as District 24-4A begins this week.
